Infrared Thermographic Inspection - Planibatimat

Infrared Thermographic Inspection, also known as infrared inspection, is a powerful diagnostic tool for preventative maintenance, capable of revealing abnormalities invisible to the naked eye.

Detect the invisible to prevent problems

This assessment is based on the analysis of past and present uses of the site or property. It is conducted in accordance with the principles of ASTM C1060.

This non-intrusive and non-destructive method is used to examine residential and commercial buildings. It can detect heat loss in walls and ceilings, air infiltration through windows, thermal bridges, insulation efficiency and even locate problems with water infiltration, air infiltration in roofs and building envelopes. Our Level II thermographs are certified for thermal inspection of electrical panels.

Thermographic inspection is also useful for anticipating problems with mechanical equipment by detecting anomalies before a failure occurs.

Thanks to the use of an infrared camera, it is no longer necessary to make openings in walls or dismantle mechanical equipment to identify the source of a problem.

Thermal anomalies

By detecting thermal anomalies, it helps to identify areas of overheating or abnormal cooling, indicating possible problems with mechanical components.

This proactive approach allows corrective action to be taken before failures occur, reducing costly downtime and emergency repairs.

In addition, thermographic inspection is also very useful for checking live electrical installations without direct contact. It detects hot spots, which can indicate an overload or a poor electrical connection.

By identifying these potential problems, fire hazards and electrical outages can be prevented, ensuring the safety of building occupants.

At Planibâtimat, our thermographic inspections are carried out by certified thermographers who are members of the ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing). After the inspection, a detailed report is given to the customer.

Rely on our thermographic inspection expertise to prevent problems, save energy, and keep your building safe. Contact us today for a full inspection and detailed report.
